Trash in the wilderness ruins the natural beauty of the great outdoors for all of us. It attracts animals that normally avoid people and can pollute clean water supplies creating a danger for everyone.
Our Solutions
Hike on marked trails in a single file, avoid stomping on vegetation, and leave the rock mounds that are known as cairns alone. These simple practices help minimize our impact on the ecosystem on and around trails.
Dispose of trash properly. Pack it in, pack it out. Easy right? So easy that we should take it a step further. Leave a place better than how we find it. If there’s garbage on a trail pick it up and pack it out. Removing one piece of trash can make a difference.
